The content management system used for this project is Omeka, a digital humanities tool designed for web exhibits by libraries, archives, museums, and educational organizations.  Omeka creates items with Dublin Core metadata, searchable tags, and associated files.  These items can be grouped under collections.

This installation uses several Omeka plugins including CSV import, Simple Pages, Geolocation, Search by Metadata, Dropbox, and Exhibit Builder.  The theme is a standard Omeka theme, Seasons, but its CSS and PHP code was edited to produce custom colors, navigation, and item display pages.  Plain HTML pages were added using the Simple Pages plugin to create text pages describing the site and how to use it.  The Exhibit Builder plugin was used to create a click-through story about Kindersley's life.  Another Omeka plugin used is Neatline, a mapping tool.
